Brandon Inabinet
Sr. IT System Administrator
Welcome!
I build and fix the systems people rely on
About Me
I'm a Senior Systems Administrator with 15+ years building
and operating resilient enterprise infrastructure across
on-prem and cloud environments.
I'm best known for getting
into the weeds — diagnosing the weird, designing pragmatic
solutions, and guiding teams through migrations and modernization.
Early curiosity about system internals and security
drove me to learn the low-level tricks others ignore; I channeled
that curiosity into a career securing and hardening the systems
I manage.
Today I focus on hybrid Microsoft environments
(M365, Azure, Intune, SCCM) while self-learning Automation
and IaC.
Outside of work I recharge in nature when I
can, and I build drones and electronics projects for fun —
hands-on tinkering that keeps my troubleshooting skills sharp.

Experience
August 2017 - Current
Pattern Energy Group Services LPSr. IT System Administrator
At Pattern Energy I manage enterprise-scale infrastructure that bridges
on-prem and cloud systems for more than 800 users.
I've led migrations to Microsoft 365, implemented Intune and Defender,
and built hybrid AD identity connecting Azure and on-prem environments.
I replaced Landesk with SCCM and later integrated Intune for unified
endpoint management, rebuilt our imaging process, and planned Win 7 → 10
→ 11 upgrades with zero data loss.
I've also built out an Azure landing-zone framework, and worked closely
with Microsoft on our CSP → EA migration.
As the senior escalation point across Infrastructure, Security, and
Service Desk, I'm trusted to diagnose the complex problems others can't
and translate fixes into results.
January 2011 - August 2017
Wintec Industries Inc.IT System Administrator
I started at Wintec on the helpdesk and, within a year, was managing the
entire infrastructure after the previous administrator left.
I modernized the environment end-to-end: consolidating standalone
Hyper-V hosts into clustered systems, implementing SAN storage with EMC
VNX and DataDomain, and managing Cisco switching, load balancing, and
ASA firewalls through CLI & ASDM.
I introduced SCCM, SCOM, and PRTG for central management and monitoring,
engineered Windows XP → 7 upgrades through automated imaging with USMT,
and migrated our communications stack from Lync 2010 → 2013 → Skype for
Business.
I also coordinated a full datacenter relocation from Milpitas HQ to a
Digital Realty colocation with minimal downtime and zero data loss.
That period taught me to build and secure systems from the ground up and
to trust my own problem-solving instincts.
January 2010 - December 2010
Sony Computer Entertainment AmericaQuality Assurance Tester
Before moving into infrastructure, I worked in quality assurance testing
PlayStation titles—performing regression, performance, and functional
testing on AAA games.
It gave me a foundation in disciplined troubleshooting, documentation,
and cross-team collaboration that I still rely on today.
